AWP Technician

Your Role as an AWP Technician?

• • Operational Excellence & Safety:
    • Maintain a consistently clean and secure work area, strictly adhering to best practice safety procedures.
    • Execute meticulous maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our diverse range of Aerial Work Platforms (AWPs) and associated equipment.
    • Work proficiently with complex mechanical, diesel, electrical, and advanced electronic systems.
    • Perform precise dismantling, inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and replacement of defective components.
    • Operate and test equipment post-service to verify optimal performance and functionality.
  • Field Service & Customer Engagement:
    • Provide expert on-site equipment repair and maintenance, ensuring machines operate at peak efficiency for our clients.
    • Effectively operate, demonstrate, and familiarize customers with equipment when necessary.
    • Cultivate positive client relations through professional, courteous, and clear interactions at all times.
    • Manage and maintain your assigned service vehicle to High Reach's professional standards.
  • Technical Proficiency & Documentation:
    • Utilize standard and specialized testing and adjustment toolkits for precise machine servicing and troubleshooting.
    • Demonstrate a solid understanding of fundamental principles for various AWP systems and components.
    • Conduct comprehensive initial checks and final inspections of AWPs in accordance with company guidelines to ensure operational readiness.
    • Accurately complete all required documentation, including Field Service Reports and Service Work Orders, detailing tasks performed, faults identified, parts utilized, labor, and time.
    • Ensure all replaced parts, especially those under warranty, are meticulously recorded with appropriate paperwork.
  • Adherence to Standards:
    • Rigorously apply approved work methods and repair practices for all maintenance tasks and breakdown scenarios.
    • Always ensure tools are used correctly, meticulously maintained, and returned to their designated locations at the end of each workday.
    • Prioritize safety by consistently utilizing all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during all work practices.

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

• This role primarily operates in a dynamic field environment, demanding sufficient physical ability and mobility. Key functions include repetitive hand movements, safely working at heights on ladders, and the capacity to lift, carry, push, or pull moderate amounts of weight. You will need to operate and test assigned equipment, and communicate effectively to exchange information. Normal visual acuity (with or without correction) is required for reading schematic drawings, computer screens, and on-board digital controllers. Normal auditory range (with or without correction) is necessary for effective communication within the work environment.
